The R functions „meancrowd1” and „meancrowd2” are related to the article
Lang Zs, Rózsa L, Tóthmérész B, Properties of crowding indices and statistical
tools to analyze parasite crowding data, Journal of Parasitology, 91(2), 245–252 (2005).
Meancrowd1 computes bootstrap BCa confidence interval for the mean crowding based on a sample; meancrowd2 compares the mean crowding in two populations based on two independent samples. The functions use the library „boot” by Davison and Hinkley.

These analyses are also offered in Quantitative Parasitology.
